Whitehall Homes & Construction

Project Manager - Construction

About the position

Whitehall Homes & Construction is an award-winning custom home builder with 25+ years in high-end residential construction. We’re known for client satisfaction, superior craftsmanship, and proven project delivery practices—and we’re looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to help lead our custom home builds from planning through completion.

If you’re organized, calm under pressure, great with clients, and can keep budgets/schedules tight without losing your mind (or your sense of humour), you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Manage day-to-day project coordination with our Production Team and Site Managers, keeping communication, budgets, and schedules on track.

  • Own budget accuracy: forecasting, timely updates, cost tracking, and keeping all stakeholders aligned.

  • Prepare tender requests, coordinate pricing, and build strong working relationships with trades and suppliers well ahead of site requirements.

  • Lead client selections: prepare, present, and track construction selections with clear options, timelines, and decision dates.

  • Review trade accounts and documentation to ensure administrative and site requirements are complete and updated online.

  • Maintain daily communication with Site Managers, reviewing site updates, look-ahead planning, and upcoming trade needs.

  • Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adjusting for approved project changes/variances.

  • Coordinate internal approvals and client sign-offs for project options, selections, and budget impacts.

  • Support trade/supplier research for unique custom details and help develop new partner relationships.

  • Review drawings and revisions, ensuring current versions are distributed to the Site Team and upcoming trades.

What we’re looking for

  • A solutions-oriented, team-first leader with a practical, can-do approach.

  • Strong client communication skills—clear, confident, and professional.

  • Solid understanding of custom residential construction and the ability to interpret architectural drawings.

  • Strong organization and computer skills (MS Office Suite); experience with Gantt scheduling tools.

  • Experience with CoConstruct is an asset.

  • Diploma or degree in Architectural/Construction Technology (or related) is an asset.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry (custom residential experience preferred).

  • Project management experience: 4+ years preferred.
